Wednesday April 1st, we held our monthly meeting, and 81 people were present this month. JerryK recapped the month’s metal detecting at South Mission Beach on March 8th, the outing to Fairmount Park up in Riverside to the “Old City Quarry” for some mineral collecting. We held our annual elections, this time for the office of President and Treasurer. Jerryk did not seek re-election and no one else entered their name into nomination. He will continue as President Pro-Tem, but not for a full 2-year term. JerryG was unanimously elected to another full 2 year term as Treasurer. The Federal Court Orders closing 2,200 miles of OHV roads in the West Mojave ws updated and discussed. The meeting ended with the monthly finds, raffle drawings, and table drawings.
