On Sunday June 7th, 4 of us showed up to try our luck at Oceanside Beach north of the pier to the San Luis Rey River for our monthly beach metal detecting. It was a gray morning with the sun finally breaking through as we were leaving, the tide was on the way out with good beach exposure, not a lot of wind with the crowds slowly coming out as the morning went by.
