URGENT: SB637 Publicity Help Needed

California SB637 – More Red Tape & More Fees

California’s SB637 is another regulatory attack on small scale miners.  Learn more about it here: http://www.stopsb637.org/ We all need to get fired up and act against legislation like this.  Even if you aren’t a miner or don’t plan to be ….YES, we need your help.

Three ways you can help right now:

1) Sign the online petition opposing SB637.  Click Here:

2) We MUST unite against this horrid bill and stand together in opposition.  Don’t just complain………WRITE A LETTER.

We are asking each of you write or fax a letter to the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee in the CA State Senate. The letter you write does not have to be as detailed as ours but it needs to contain the following, that you OPPOSE SB637 for the reasons you decide to list. It can be as simple as “I oppose this bill’ because: The devastating economic impacts of this bill to the poor and rural communities of CA. The science is flawed on suction dredging. Suction dredging is NOT harmful to fish or fish habitat. There already is significant regulation concerning suction dredging. or any other reasons you care to list.

Here is the contact information on each member and the Chair:  We also urge you to look this list over and determine if your individual Assembly member is listed below, if they are, write a separate letter to them as well.  This is highly important folks, this bill is horrible and is yet another scheme to ban mining.

3) Lastly, you can help by passing this information to all your friends and family members.

Tell them about it and ask them to sign the petition, and write or fax their letter.  You may need to help them follow through.  You can spread the word and inspire those who know and trust you to help.  But if you do nothing…nothing will change and things will only get worse.  This type of bill is only a symptom of the real problem which is that the politicians only represent their careers, the special interests, and the government.  They do not represent working American people who work for, start, build, or own small businesses, or those who may like to in 5, 10, or 50 years!  They do not strengthen our people or local economies.  This email was inspired by AMRA, American Mining Rights Association.  Please visit them and lend financial and word of mouth support.  They are fighting for us and need your support.  http://americanminingrights.com/

My gratitude to those who are already involved and to those of you who get inspired to get actively involved.  United We Stand!

Aaron Klapka, Treasure Seekers of San Diego Member, American
